MAYBE LATER:SHE IS NOT READY TO CHANGE

Click clack,,,,cliiiiccckkk cllaaccckk,''damn fake heels make so much noise,'' she whispered to herself..Her very not original Louis V suitcase behind her was a distraction to her neighbors and her mother was part of the crowd slowly growing from the small dark rooms which they proudly called home, all 10 of them. They looked like mice poking their heads through the small wooden windows..heheeheehee.The stench from the sewage reminded her of the one place she did not want to be..People here are such snoops, illiterate and now they're thinking to themselves...look at her,she thinks she's better than us all, goes and comes walking in those towering shoes, long hair, painted nails and face,a shade lighter since we last saw her,...she's only here coz she no longer slee.....Her reverie of the possible thoughts of the people around her were interrupted by her mother's beckon to tie a leso around her waist and cover her shameless behind this instant.
Sigh, home bitter home was more like it. She hadn't even sat down, not even creased the keenly pressed 'vitambaa' on the old wooden chair,...wewe!nikuulize unawazimu kukuja kuniona na kuniletea aibu hivi, mavazi kama malaya,,maringo na hata huwezi beba sukari...mama she went on and on,,dinner time and in the dim light of the lamp afterwards, she wouldn't let it go,,taking it back to the days she sacrificed for a better life for her only daughter. She had heard all this before, she knew where the pauses were, what point her mother would seek support from a cousin who was living with them by asking 'si ni ukweli?',she knew that no verbal response was going to be given.. just a nod..She wasn't listening.Ignoring her mother's banter, she reached into her handbag, pulled out a white envelope ,placed it on  the table, looked straight at her mother and slowly whispered....I have a headache and your condescending statements are not helping one bit so take this and leave me in peace..No one understood half of what she had just said but on peeping into the envelope she got her peace..
He tried calling her again, six missed calls now.She was not going to go back there. She was done with his commands,,wear this today, get long extensions, you'd look better lighter, don't speak during the conference, just look pretty and smile and I'll take care of you once its done..He made her sick to her stomach...DON'T TEXT ME AND DON'T CALL ME PLEASE..SEND.Hopefully that would make him stay away...
She had blacked out for a couple of hours and the beep from the reply got her packing. In the dead of night under a street light,on her phone,,..HI BABY,I'M HERE.OK.He said.
